A large corner tub took up a great deal of space in this master bathroom in our clients vacation home. Prior to remodeling the enclosed shower felt more like a small closet. The old vanity did not provide a seating area and storage was an issue in this space as well as a lack of natural lighting making the space feel even more enclosed. The over sized corner garden tub was removed and a new footprint was provided allowing for a much larger shower with a built in niche, bench, rain head and additional hand held shower head. The knee walls allow for an open feeling while showering yet still add a discreet touch. The decorative tile spills onto the shower floor for a waterfall spa like feel. A custom closet was created where the shower used to be maximizing the owners storage. New shaker style doors with custom glass inserts does more than just add to the functional aspect of the space. One door conceals the toilet room yet allows for a full size dressing mirror reflecting the waterfall tile in the shower. The closet entry doors also have custom mirror inserts allowing reflections of light to dance around the room. The ocean blue and sandy colored floor and shower wall tile help to create a spa like feel in this coastal yet transitional master bathroom.
